Margarida Caldeira Da Silva

  Margarida Caldeira da Silva, Portuguese, has a degree in Economics from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Economicas e Financeiras, University of Lisbon and a degree in International Marketing from the International Marketing Institute at Harvard University.

 

Margarida started her career as Marketing Director of the União de Bancos Portugueses (UBP) where she became involved in international public relations. She was also responsible for training the staff to improve their contact with UBP's customers and improve the institution's image.


Margarida then worked in strategic planning in the areas of tourism, international trade and industrial relocation. As director of Macao's Department of Exports from 1982-1984, she reoriented the territory's investment strategy and revamped the international image of Macao's exports.

Margarida moved to consulting, and now has over 20 years of experience in this area. She specialises in developing training programs, particularly in public relations, international marketing and communication skills and works with her clients to help them develop internationally. She has experience in North and South America and Europe. She has been part of ICM teams for Rhodia, Volvo Trucks, Hydro Aluminium Dye Services and Chronopost with responsibility for the Portuguese speaking management teams in Brazil and Portugal.
